SOFT LANDINGS: pilates + social + shop

a wellness event series for Asian Heritage Month curated by VALTEEYOGA

what to expect

S O F T L A N D I N G S a space FOR and BY the Asian community. A place to gather, move, breathe, connect, and shop local Asian-led businesses. This series is an invitation to explore what it means to care for the self without guilt or shame, while maintaining care for our community. We explore the concept of SELF-CARE AS COMMUNITY CARE. We reflect on our unique experiences across the Asian diaspora, discuss our cultural narratives and how we navigate spaces in our community. We contemplate wellness and what it means to us. We cultivate a space for comfort and care - a soft place to land. Hosted by Valerie Tiu (VALTEEYOGA) and lululemon Queen Street Toronto, we work in collaboration with local Asian owned/led wellness businesses, carers, and practitioners, we will guide participants through a four-week series that consists of: - Grounding and mindful movement practice in The Attic - Journaling session and discussion - “Social + Shop”: a marketplace in The Hustle, featuring local Asian owned/led businesses Movement and discussion is reserved for folx of Asian descent (LGBTQ2S+ are welcome!). All folx are welcome to attend and support our Social +Shop Market free of charge, located in The Hustle at lululemon Queen Street. *Please note that The Attic space is not fully accessible as it is located upstairs with no elevator access.
